WiiM Amp Pro with DALI Oberon 1: what does the Pro actually buy?
94.6 dB at two and a half metres from the smallest bookshelf in the Oberon line. The interesting part is that every number on this page is also the plain WiiM Amp's: the manufacturer's own comparison sheet prints identical power and identical minimum impedance for both models.

Input Equipment Setup
PASS: Optimal Signal Chain
Requires minimum +60dB of clean pre-amp gain. Most budget entry interfaces max out at +50dB to +56dB and introduce hiss at max pot. An inline preamp booster (Cloudlifter CL-1 / FetHead) is strongly recommended.
The interface preamp provides sufficient headroom.

-25%Tonal & acoustic characteristics: Flat, wide-range frequency response for clean music and speech. Smooth, warm acoustic character with air-suspension shock isolation.
Technical advisory: With +69dB max gain, the Gen 4 Solo can drive demanding dynamics like the Shure SM7B natively without requiring an external inline booster.

94.6 dB at two and a half metres — and every number here is also the plain WiiM Amp's.
Level. DALI publishes 86 dB at 2.83 V/1 m for a 6 Ω speaker. On 6 Ω, 2.83 V is 1.33 W rather than 1 W, so the honest per-watt figure is 84.75 dB — 1.25 dB below the printed one. With 60 W:
| Distance | Continuous SPL | Against 105 dB | |---|---|---| | 1 m | 102.5 dB | −2.5 dB | | 2 m | 96.5 dB | −8.5 dB | | 2.5 m | 94.6 dB | −10.4 dB | | 3 m | 93.0 dB | −12.0 dB |
Plenty for the small room these speakers are bought for, and a long way under cinema reference — as every 45–60 W amplifier in this catalogue is.
Impedance. DALI publishes no impedance dip for the Oberon 1, so the calculator estimates 80 % of nominal — 4.8 Ω — against the Pro's 2.67 Ω minimum. Safe with room to spare, and safe on an estimate rather than on a measurement. We say that rather than print a dip nobody published.
The pearl: the Pro's power section is the non-Pro's power section. WiiM's own comparison sheet puts the two models side by side and prints the same 60 W at 8 Ω and 120 W at 4 Ω in both columns; both product pages then print the same 2.67 Ω minimum. What the Pro differs in is the DAC, the radio and the measured analogue-output SNR — nothing that appears in a level or a load calculation. So if the question behind the search was «will the Pro drive these better than the Amp», the manufacturer has already answered it: this page is, number for number, the WiiM Amp's page, and the premium buys everything except level.
