ADAM T7V on MOTU M2 line outputs, not on amplifier speaker terminals
An active monitor carries its own power amps. Its XLR input is a 10 kΩ line load, while the Fosi TB10D is built for 2–8 Ω — so the calculator answers with a topology verdict and a cable, not with a level.

Input Equipment Setup
PASS: Optimal Signal Chain
Requires minimum +60dB of clean pre-amp gain. Most budget entry interfaces max out at +50dB to +56dB and introduce hiss at max pot. An inline preamp booster (Cloudlifter CL-1 / FetHead) is strongly recommended.
The interface preamp provides sufficient headroom.

-25%Tonal & acoustic characteristics: Flat, wide-range frequency response for clean music and speech. Smooth, warm acoustic character with air-suspension shock isolation.
Technical advisory: With +69dB max gain, the Gen 4 Solo can drive demanding dynamics like the Shure SM7B natively without requiring an external inline booster.

The verdict here is topology, not sound quality. Put this pair into the calculator and it returns a topology mismatch with a single instruction: take the monitors to the interface line outputs on balanced TRS or XLR, and leave the amplifier's speaker terminals alone.
Two published numbers say why. ADAM specifies the T7V input at 10 kΩ on XLR and 20 kΩ on RCA — a line-level load. Fosi specifies the TB10D terminals for 2–8 Ω and rates the amplifier at 150 W per channel unclipped into 8 Ω. Those 150 W into 8 Ω are 34.6 V rms at the terminals (√(150 × 8)); a balanced line input is built around +4 dBu, which is 1.23 V. That is about 29 dB more voltage than the input stage was designed to see, into an impedance more than a thousand times higher than the amplifier is looking for.
What the calculator will not print here. For an active monitor it stops at the verdict: there is no passive load to compute against, so the SPL, damping and voltage-drop figures a passive pair produces do not describe this chain at all. The monitor's own rating is the number worth reading, and it needs reading carefully — ADAM publishes ≥110 dB max SPL at 1 m per pair, not per cabinet. Feed the T7V from the M2's balanced TRS line outputs and set the level on the monitor itself.
