Gain Staging Advice
69 dB of mic gain with -127 dBu EIN: enough for an SM7B at a hand's distance without an inline booster. The 3rd generation stopped at 56 dB and could not do this.
Amplification Warning
The published 50 Ohm headphone output impedance is high. With low-impedance multi-driver in-ears it will audibly bend the frequency response; with 250-300 Ohm studio cans it only costs a little level.
