Headroom notes

PreSonus publishes neither EIN nor any headphone output figure for the GO - not a level, not a power, not an impedance. The gain number is the only thing here that can be checked.

Gain staging

0 to +50 dB, same ceiling as the Studio 24c and the same problem: a passive dynamic at speaking distance runs out of gain. Pair it with a condenser.

Setups using this gear

Audio-Technica AT2035 on an AudioBox GO and an iPad: 11–52 V phantom, and a datasheet that names the wrong microphoneWarm Audio WA12 MKII with a Sennheiser MK 4 into an AudioBox GO: 71 dB of gain and 31 dB of use for itShure SM58 on a PreSonus AudioBox GO: three decibels short at a quiet voice, and three ways to get them back
