Safe — and quieter than you expect.

Safety is decided by the impedance dip, not by watts. The LS50 Meta falls to 3.2 Ω in the 100–200 Hz region. The Fosi V3 is rated down to 2 Ω, so the dip stays inside its envelope. The Denon AVR-S570BT, which costs 399 dollars and makes 70 W instead of 45 W, is rated for 6 Ω minimum: the same speakers put it outside its own rating on every bass note. More watts, less safety — the two numbers are not related, and only one of them is on the front of the box.

The level is the price. At 85 dB/W/m and 2.5 m, 45 W continuous give 93.6 dB, which is 11.4 dB below the 105 dB reference peak. The Denon's extra 25 W would buy 1.9 dB of that.

If it is not enough. Nothing in this price class fixes it, because the fix is 8–10 times the power, not 50% more. Sit closer — every halving of the distance is +6 dB and costs nothing. Accept around 93 dB, which is louder than most people listen. Or pair the LS50 Meta with an amplifier stable into 4 Ω — KEF's own guidance is at least 80 W there. The one move that is never right is «use the receiver, it has more watts».
