Headroom notes

13-inch MacBook Pro (M2, 2022) is in Apple's list of Macs with the adaptive headphone jack. The stored 3 V RMS is the output from 150 Ω upward. Under 150 Ω the same article says up to 1.25 V RMS. Apple's tech specs list two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports and do not print how many watts those ports supply to a bus-powered interface, so no USB-power figure is stored.

What the datasheet actually says

Quoted verbatim from the manufacturer’s own page, with the date we checked it. We state what is printed, not what anyone intended by it.

Measurement conditions
«When you connect headphones with an impedance of less than 150 ohms, the headphone jack provides up to 1.25 volts RMS. For headphones with an impedance of 150 to 1k ohms, the headphone jack delivers 3 volts RMS.»

One jack, two voltages. The catalogue stores 3 V at 150 Ω, which is the high-impedance case (HD 600 and similar). Below 150 Ω Apple prints 1.25 V RMS, 7.6 dB lower. Output impedance is not published.

Measurement conditions
«Two Thunderbolt / USB 4 ports with support for: Charging, DisplayPort, Thunderbolt 3 (up to 40Gb/s), USB 4 (up to 40Gb/s), USB 3.1 Gen 2 (up to 10Gb/s)»

Apple names the ports and does not print a bus-power wattage. 15 W is not stored.
