Headroom Notes

The 60 W headline belongs to one port only — the front-panel USB 20Gbps Type-C header — and only when the board's auxiliary 8-pin PCIe connector is fed. ASUS states the fallback in the same spec sheet: 27 W otherwise. Every other port on the board is an ordinary USB port, so a bus-powered interface that does not negotiate PD gets the USB specification floor: 900 mA at 5 V for USB 3.x, 500 mA for USB 2.0. That floor is what the defaultUsbCurrent field carries here; it is derived from the port version ASUS publishes, not a number ASUS measured.

Amplification Warning

The audio block is described but never quantified: SupremeFX ALC4082 codec, ESS ES9219 quad DAC, 120 dB SNR playback, and "Impedance sense for front and rear headphone outputs". Not one output voltage, output impedance or output power figure appears anywhere in the specification. Impedance sense means the board switches gain by detected load; it does not say how much voltage either setting delivers, so the question "will this drive 250 ohm headphones" has no manufacturer answer.

The 60 W figure that heads the port description requires a cable the board does not ship connected by default. Built without it, the same port is a 27 W port. Both numbers are ASUS's own and sit in the same table.
